Welcome to the Glenfinnan Sleeping car information page! The lease holders of the sleeping car for last few seasons (pre 2026) have now finished operating the accommodation. The sleeping car is still under the ownership of the museum and there are a few changes to how we will be running the sleeping car for the next season. For any enquiries please contact us at: [email protected] and we will respond with more information to try and help with your enquiry.

If you are a repeat customer you will be aware that the sleeping car is adjacent to the museum, which will remain the same, as will some of the sleeping car’s running procedures. So we hope to welcome back any returning sleeping car guests and welcoming any new ones in the near future!

ABOUT THE SLEEPING CAR

The coach is part of the heritage rolling stock collection at Glenfinnan Station Museum. It was built in 1958 and retains many of its original features but has been converted by the Museum into unique and comfortable accommodation for up to 10 people.

It is an ideal base for reaching a number of tourist attractions by public transport, and forms an excellent centre for the mountains and glens of Lochaber, the Rough Bounds, Moidart and Ardgour.
